About the Artist.

Hailing from a small mill town in coastal British Columbia, Canada, Elke Robitaille is an award-winning Folk singer-songwriter and multi

instrumentalist who “evokes the dust-bowl stylings of Patty Griffin or Gillian Welch in equal measure to the Lilith Fair poetry of Sarah McLachlan.” - (Just Out Magazine)

A storyteller at heart, Robitaille has a knack for connecting with an audience of any size through performances that include haunting contemporary folk-ballads to foot-stomping country-roots.

Currently based in Portland, Oregon, Robitaille’s songwriting influence has evolved from simplistic folk-rock into a more sophisticated sound, incorporating elements of Americana,

Bluegrass, and Alt-Country, all of which can be heard on In The End - the fourth studio release from Elke Robitaille. This six-track EP features a dynamic assortment of original songs, showcasing a subtle yet polished production quality, and highlighting an array of traditional folk instrumentation including acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and pedal steel.

In The End boasts a talented medley of studio musicians including: Timothy Snider (Medicine For The People), JP Downer (Christian Burghardt), and Beak Wing (Rosi Golan; Carina Round). After releasing In The End, Elke partnered with Totem Entertainment to produce official music videos for the singles: “Wait For Me” & “That Devil”

Throughout her career, Robitaille has completed two national tours of the United States and Canada; released four full-length albums and one EP; received international radio airplay; and fulfilled a four-month performance contract with Princess Cruises. Being no stranger to the stage, Elke has played at venues ranging from farmers markets and festivals; to house concerts and fundraisers – performing in 25 States and 6 Provinces in Canada. A few notable stages have included: Pacific National Exhibition (Vancouver, BC), Hotel Café (Los Angeles, CA), Rose Festival City Fair (Portland, OR), and on the Breedlove Stage at the Deschutes Street Pub.

In 2017, Elke became a Breedlove Guitars Sponsored Artist; opened for Canadian indie-rock band Current Swell (Nettwerk Records); and also received a nomination for "Best Folk Band" in the Willamette Week Best of Portland 2017 Readers Poll.
